There are two local programs that can help those in the River Valley area with some assistance:

• Neighbor Helping Neighbor will help pay energy bills, especially for those who have been impacted by COVID. More information…

• St. Vincent de Paul-River Valley Conference also helps with energy bills. Call 608-546-2482 for more information.

There are other programs available at the state level.

• Alliant maintains a list of energy assistance options.
  

• Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance is available to all eligible Wisconsin households with up to 18 months assistance for current and overdue payments for rent, utility/home energy, water, and internet.
  

• Wisconsin Help for Homeowners (WHH) can help with overdue bills like mortgage payments, property taxes, utilities, and more. It's open to people who live in Wisconsin who meet income and other eligibility requirements and have experienced a qualified economic hardship since January 21, 2020.
